About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential observability technology company seeking a Senior Business Value Engineer to join their growing team. This is a remote position based in the UK.

Our client is a global organization building cloud-based monitoring and analytics solutions. They work with enterprise customers who need to ensure system reliability, resolve incidents faster, and optimize their technology operations at scale.

As a Senior Business Value Engineer, you'll be instrumental in defining, articulating, and quantifying the business impact of our client's products and services. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how value is communicated across the entire customer journey.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to uncover growth and profitability opportunities through personalized storytelling and analysis
• Develop compelling ROI and TCO models that quantify value across different use cases, identifying impact areas driven by new capabilities and market trends
• Enable sales and customer success teams through training, content development, and ongoing support to showcase product value effectively
• Partner with cross-functional teams to create unified value narratives that align internal stakeholders and external messaging
• Work closely with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and technical architects to articulate business value during customer engagements
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes for audiences ranging from technical practitioners to C-level executives

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in value engineering, value management, consulting, or related technical consulting roles
• Demonstrated expertise building both quantitative and qualitative business value analyses
• Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and create compelling customer-facing narratives
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance to define and align on value propositions
• Growth mindset with willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly to changing business needs
• Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences

Preferred qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with observability, monitoring, or DevOps technologies
• Familiarity with open source software landscapes and communities
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and SaaS business models
