Senior Business Transformation Advisor – Supporting Functions

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential food manufacturing organization in their search for a Senior Business Transformation Advisor based in Düsseldorf, Germany. This role sits at the intersection of finance operations and enterprise transformation, where you'll lead critical sub-projects that strengthen governance, transparency, and process performance across supporting functions.

You'll work independently within the Transformation Management function, driving process optimisation with particular emphasis on Finance and Controlling workflows including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost allocation, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sub-projects within broader transformation initiatives from conception through delivery
• Represent Business Transformation in strategic discussions with management units, group functions, and external partners
• Develop functional specifications, process improvements, and organisational design recommendations
• Optimise Finance and Controlling processes including month-end closing, planning cycles, and management reporting
• Translate operational finance requirements into IT solutions and end-to-end process designs
• Act as a bridge between Finance/Controlling teams and Business Transformation stakeholders
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development
• Travel approximately 4 days per week to support project delivery

What We're Looking For

Education & Background:

• University degree in Business Administration, STEM, or related fields
• Focus on Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or Analytics is advantageous

Experience:

• Several years in business transformation, project management, or consulting environments
• Strong Finance/Controlling background with operational exposure (month-end closing, reporting, planning processes)
• Hands-on experience with finance-related IT systems including ERP, consolidation tools, and BI platforms

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels
• Proven experience in process design and writing functional specifications
• Solid understanding of financial processes, KPIs, and internal control frameworks
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, SharePoint)
• Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
• Valid work and residence permit required for non-EU applicants
