(Senior) Business Automation Developer (all genders) I International

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization expanding their international marketplace operations. Our talent team is searching for a (Senior) Business Automation Developer to join their Internationalization team. This role focuses on turning business processes into automated, self-serve solutions using modern AI and automation platforms.

This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position available remotely within Germany or from offices in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Darmstadt, or Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Transform business processes into automated, self-serve solutions from discovery through rollout, partnering with business departments to analyze and redesign existing workflows
• Design and optimize AI-driven solutions with hands-on expertise in modern LLMs and surrounding ecosystems to ensure reliable performance at scale
• Collaborate with the Center of Excellence for Automation to propose, prioritize, and lead initiatives that improve automation and AI platforms
• Work cross-functionally with technical experts, product managers, and business leaders to share best practices, document patterns, and enable self-serve automation across the organization
• Define and track metrics that validate automation effectiveness and optimize against them

What We're Looking For

• Product Mindset: Experience in product ownership or agile project management, with proven ability to gather requirements, prioritize backlogs, and balance quick wins with long-term scalability
• Proactive Problem Solver: You actively identify bottlenecks and propose scalable, user-centric solutions rather than simply executing instructions
• Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar platforms
• Comfortable integrating SaaS tools and internal systems via APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns
• Experience with prompt engineering and building AI Agents is a plus
• Strong communicator who can explain trade-offs to both business and engineering stakeholders and create concise documentation and playbooks
• Fluent in English (C1 level); German skills at B2 level are advantageous
• Comfortable working in an international environment
