Senior Product Owner / Program Manager (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital consultancy in Hamburg that is seeking a Senior Product Owner / Program Manager to join their team. This role combines product leadership, program management, and strategic consulting to deliver complex digital transformation initiatives for enterprise clients.

You will act as a senior product leader and trusted advisor, connecting user needs, business objectives, and technology delivery while navigating complex stakeholder environments. This is not a role where you simply execute within existing frameworks—you will challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and help evolve products, processes, and ways of working across client organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead product ownership across complex, multi-workstream initiatives, connecting vision, priorities, delivery and business outcomes
• Act as a senior counterpart to Product Owners and stakeholders across business, technology and design functions
• Translate user and business needs into product strategies, roadmaps, priorities and actionable decisions
• Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and create alignment across functions and organizational levels
• Own and steer scope, budget, dependencies, risks and delivery timelines
• Bring structure to ambiguity, identify blockers and drive decisions and progress
• Establish effective agile product routines and ways of working within client environments
• Challenge existing approaches and act as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership
• Identify and assess meaningful AI opportunities across products, processes and organizational workflows
• Drive transformation and organizational change, connecting individual workstreams to larger transformation agendas

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in Product Management, Product Ownership, Program Management, Digital Consulting or comparable role
• Proven experience shipping digital products and leading complex initiatives from conception to delivery
• Strong cross-functional experience across product, design, technology and business domains
• Deep understanding of agile product development methodologies and product leadership principles
• Ability to connect user needs, business goals, technology constraints and delivery realities
• Experience owning scope, budget, delivery and commercial outcomes
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with confidence to challenge and influence decision-makers
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity and organizational change effectively
• Genuine interest in AI and its practical impact on products and organizations
• Experience in digital transformation, consulting or multi-workstream programs is a strong plus
• Native German and fluent English required
