(Senior) Azure Data Engineer – Full Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international organization seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer for a full-remote position based in the United States. This role requires availability during New York business hours, with candidates expected to work 4-5 hours per day aligned with EST timezone (for example, 9 AM New York time).

Our client is building sophisticated data infrastructure at scale and needs an experienced engineer who can architect, optimize, and automate their Azure-based data ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage large, complex datasets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including infrastructure redesign for greater scalability, optimized data delivery, and automation of manual processes
• Build and maintain infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using Azure and SQL technologies
• Develop analytical tools that leverage the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics, operational efficiency, and customer acquisition
• Collaborate with stakeholders including cloud infrastructure teams, data teams, governance officers, and information management teams to design, develop, deploy, and support data solutions and related infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Portal
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory for extraction, transformation, and loading operations (required)
• Proficiency with Azure Storage, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse (required)
• Experience with database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools (required)
• Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics (required)
• Fluent English communication skills
• Ability to work 4-5 hours per day during New York business hours
