About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential business data and analytics organization seeking a Senior Analyst to join their international research division. This Hamburg-based role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale data-driven projects in the education and rankings space, supporting global benchmarking initiatives that help organizations make evidence-based decisions.
You'll be instrumental in building analytical frameworks, managing complex datasets, and developing scoring models that power rankings and benchmarking products. This is a hybrid position allowing you to balance collaborative office time with flexible remote work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance rankings and data products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability across projects
- Build and optimize internal database structures in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Manage end-to-end rankings and benchmarking projects, from initial design through data collection, scoring methodology, and results analysis
- Develop and document data models and scoring frameworks aligned with current academic research standards
- Ensure data transparency, quality assurance, and alignment with reporting standards through robust data architecture
- Assess organizational data needs and recommend solutions to address gaps
- Contribute innovative ideas for new data-driven products and workflow improvements
- Leverage AI capabilities to enhance team efficiency and analytical processes
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Economics, Social Science, Data Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data structures, ideally within a research environment
- Strong understanding of statistics and statistical modeling through professional or research experience
- Proven proficiency in Python or R Studio, including data cleaning, analysis, and visualization. SQL knowledge is a plus
- Experience working with decision makers and translating data into actionable insights
- Understanding of AI trends and familiarity with relevant analytical tools
- Fluent in English; German or additional languages are advantageous
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights
- Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment
