(Senior) Accountant, 30h (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a dynamic creative agency with an international footprint across multiple continents. Our client is seeking a (Senior) Accountant to join their Berlin finance team on a 30-hour per week basis. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, creative environment while maintaining the financial foundation of a growing international organization.

This is a hybrid position based in Berlin, Germany, with approximately 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial administration across multiple international entities
• Process, verify and organize incoming and outgoing invoices with accurate allocation to projects and entities
• Maintain accurate financial records across accounting and ERP systems
• Prepare bookkeeping documentation and support monthly closing and reconciliation processes
• Coordinate payment runs, recurring expenses and subscriptions
• Collaborate closely with external accountants and tax advisors across international locations
• Identify discrepancies and support the Finance Manager with day-to-day finance tasks and reporting

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a similar finance role
• Solid experience working with German accounting and financial processes
• Hands-on experience with DATEV and ERP/accounting systems
• Good understanding of German bookkeeping principles
• Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, accounts payable and general accounting
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, organized way of working
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of recurring financial processes
• Experience working with multiple entities or international businesses is a plus
• Professional working proficiency in German (B2 or above)
• Excellent English, both written and spoken
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
