The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee our cleaning and sanitation program at our Omak plant. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, sanitary production environment that supports the manufacture of quality products. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic planning, giving you the chance to build a high-performing sanitation team while ensuring our facility meets the highest standards for cleanliness and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the sanitation team to achieve cleaning and sanitization objectives
- Develop and implement sanitation protocols and procedures that comply with food safety regulations
- Ensure the team has access to the tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform cleaning and pest control processes effectively
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to verify sanitation standards are met
- Train and mentor sanitation staff on best practices, safety procedures, and company standards
- Monitor inventory and manage the budget for sanitation supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning activities and minimize downtime
- Document sanitation activities, incidents, and corrective actions for compliance purposes
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing sanitation teams or leading cleaning operations in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation best practices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work with production schedules and adapt to shift-based operations
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in food safety or sanitation are a plus
