What You'll Do
- Meet with clients to gather financial information and pre‑qualify them for mortgage programs
- Explain loan options, interest rates, and terms to help borrowers make informed decisions
- Prepare and submit complete loan packages to underwriting for approval
- Monitor loan files through closing, ensuring timely communication with all parties
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of referral sources, including real estate agents and builders
- Stay current on industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes
- Achieve monthly production goals while delivering a high level of customer service
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a mortgage loan originator or in residential lending
- Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial documents and assess creditworthiness
- Self‑motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with loan origination software and CRM systems
- Valid state mortgage loan originator license (or ability to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
