Role Overview
As a Nursery Registered Nurse at HCA Las Palmas Medical Center, you'll be at the heart of early newborn care. This part-time position offers you the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated maternal-child health team, providing essential nursing care during a family's most transformative moments. You'll combine clinical expertise with interpersonal warmth to ensure every newborn receives the attention they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct medical care to newborns, including assessments, monitoring, and treatment
- Educate and guide new parents on infant care, feeding, and healthy development practices
- Conduct thorough examinations of newborns in collaboration with obstetric and gynecological providers
- Monitor vital signs, growth, and overall health status throughout the nursery stay
- Work closely with labor and delivery nursing staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Document nursing care and maintain accurate patient records

What We're Looking For
- Current RN licensure in Texas
- Demonstrated experience in newborn or maternal-child nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
