DeVivo Companies is hiring a full-time Refrigeration Technician for its Saugus, Massachusetts location. Join a factory-trained team delivering comprehensive fleet and equipment solutions across the Northeast for over a century.
About the Role
As a Refrigeration Technician at DeVivo Companies, you'll install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems for our commercial equipment fleet. Working in our Saugus facility, you'll support customers throughout Massachusetts and the region using modern diagnostic equipment and industry-leading maintenance practices. This position is integral to our complete lifecycle equipment support model.
What You'll Do
- Install and service refrigeration and air conditioning systems on commercial vehicles and fleet equipment
- Diagnose refrigeration failures and system inefficiencies using specialized testing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and ensure regulatory compliance
- Repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components
- Handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation
- Coordinate with fleet managers and other technicians on scheduling and workload
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or commercial equipment service
- EPA Section 608 certification or ability to obtain it
- Solid knowledge of refrigeration theory, system components, and troubleshooting methods
- Proficiency reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and customer service mindset
- Valid driver's license
