Join Mercy in Oklahoma City as an RN Med Surg on the day shift, where you'll apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic medical surgical unit serving patients across multiple care needs.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical department, you'll deliver comprehensive patient care using evidence-based nursing practice. You'll maintain clinical accountability while building strong relationships with patients and interdisciplinary care teams. This full-time day position welcomes both experienced nurses and new graduate RNs ready to grow in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment; communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; maintain detailed clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and other department partners to coordinate seamless patient care
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold patient rights in all care interactions
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of care provided; identify opportunities for improvement

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and adapt to changing conditions
• Compassion and clinical judgment in high-acuity environments
• New graduates welcome — we provide comprehensive orientation and support
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred but not required for new RN graduates
