Licensed Practical Nurse – LPN – St. Louis Rehab

Mercy is hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct patient care at our rehabilitation facility in Lake Chesterfield, Saint Louis County. In this role, you'll work alongside registered nurses and healthcare teams to provide safe, compassionate support to patients on their path to recovery.

About the Role

As an LPN at Mercy, you'll practice within the scope of licensed practical nursing, delivering skilled patient care under the supervision of RNs and other licensed professionals. You'll use the nursing process to assess patient needs, execute treatment plans, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. What You'll Do

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care including vital signs monitoring, wound care, catheter care, and personal hygiene assistance
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and supervised, ensuring accurate documentation
• Communicate with patients and families to understand concerns and keep them informed of care progress
• Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate effective care
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a secure care environment
• Report changes in patient status or concerns to supervising RNs immediately

What We're Looking For

• Current, active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri
• Knowledge of patient care standards, nursing ethics, and professional accountability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing patient needs
• Attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
• Physical capability to assist patients and perform duties safely
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety protocols
