In this full-time role, you'll guide clients through complex retirement plan conversions while building relationships with new business prospects seeking expert guidance on plan strategy and implementation.

About the Role

As a Retirement Plan Consultant, you'll take ownership of a select portfolio of plan transition projects—from initial assessment through successful implementation. This position combines hands-on consulting with relationship management, requiring you to balance active project management with new business development activities that drive growth in the retirement plan advisory practice.

What You'll Do

• Lead retirement plan conversions and transitions, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
• Assess existing plans, identify optimization opportunities, and develop transition strategies tailored to client objectives
• Coordinate plan documentation, compliance review, and regulatory filings required for successful conversions
• Develop new business opportunities in the retirement plan market through targeted outreach and relationship building
• Serve as primary consultant for clients navigating plan changes, providing guidance on design alternatives and implementation options
• Collaborate with product specialists, compliance teams, and operations to ensure smooth plan launches

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise in retirement plan design, conversions, and onboarding processes
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent plan transitions
• Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building capabilities
• Knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan compliance requirements
• Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and drive sales activities
• Detail-oriented mindset with ability to manage complex documentation and timelines

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in our Washington, D.C. office. We offer flexible work arrangements for candidates in the local area and may consider remote work for candidates with substantial retirement plan onboarding expertise who are located outside our region.
