About the Role

As a Food Service Worker-Host, you serve as the essential connection between our patients and the hospital's Food and Nutrition Services Department. You'll receive and interpret patient diet orders, communicate dietary needs and special requirements to the appropriate teams, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely, accurate meal delivery that meets each patient's clinical and personal needs.

What You'll Do

• Process patient diet orders and ensure proper documentation and communication with Food and Nutrition Services
• Coordinate meal delivery to patients and verify dietary accommodations are met
• Act as a liaison between patients, nursing staff, and the dietary services department
• Monitor and address patient satisfaction with meals and food service
• Maintain detailed records of patient dietary preferences and restrictions
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols during food service operations
• Support meal service activities during assigned 2nd shift hours
