Research Analyst – Industrials

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research and analysis firm seeking a Research Analyst - Industrials to join their remote team. Our client specializes in technology infrastructure analysis, and this role focuses on how AI and datacenter growth is transforming power grids, utilities, electrical equipment providers, and industrial sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to produce high-impact research that reaches institutional investors, infrastructure firms, and policymakers globally. You'll work within a collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment analyzing the intersection of AI infrastructure demand and traditional industrial markets.

This position is full-time and fully remote, available to candidates based in Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, or the United States (European or Eastern time zones required).

Responsibilities

• Lead research and analysis across power grid, utilities, and industrial infrastructure sectors as they relate to AI and datacenter expansion
• Produce research reports, forecasts, and briefings for institutional clients using both public and proprietary data
• Track developments in transmission and distribution investment, regulatory changes, and equipment supply chains (switchgear, transformers, etc.)
• Assess how AI infrastructure demand is reshaping utilities, engineering firms, and electrical equipment manufacturers across regions
• Collaborate with analysts covering semiconductors, datacenters, and AI infrastructure to generate cross-sector insights
• Support hedge funds, infrastructure investors, and policymakers with bespoke insights and thematic research
• Present research findings to senior leadership teams and participate in client calls and conference presentations

What We're Looking For

• 2–5+ years of professional experience in equity research, investment analysis, or strategy roles covering industrials, utilities, or energy sectors
• Strong grasp of financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Deep interest in how AI and compute infrastructure are transforming traditional industries
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate clearly to diverse audiences
• Exceptional writing and presentation skills, with experience crafting investment memos, research reports, or market analyses
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization and/or scripting (Python, SQL, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, globally distributed team
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
• Must be located in a European or Eastern (EST) time zone
