Registered Dental Assistant

Bluetree is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant for our Sacramento, CA location. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a skilled dental professional ready to deliver quality patient care in a collaborative clinical setting.

The Opportunity

Join our dental practice as a Registered Dental Assistant and play a vital role in supporting our dentists and maintaining the smooth, efficient operation of our operatories. You'll work directly with our clinical team to provide exceptional patient care while managing instruments, materials, and the many technical tasks that keep our practice running at its best. This position offers the chance to build lasting relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to OSHA and state dental guidelines
• Seat patients, take preliminary vital signs, and gather medical histories
• Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, managing patient visibility, and suctioning
• Take and develop intraoral and extraoral radiographs (X-rays)
• Place temporary restorations and apply topical fluoride and sealants as directed
• Maintain patient records and update charts with clinical notes and treatment information
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage supply inventory and ensure operatory readiness between appointments

What You Bring

• Valid California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or current eligibility
• Proficiency in clinical and laboratory dental procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members
• Ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software (preferred)
