Automation & Equipment Technician

Wyld is seeking an Automation & Equipment Technician to join our Sacramento, California operations and support our mission of creating premium cannabis edibles and beverages. In this full-time role, you'll work alongside our engineering team to drive innovation in manufacturing technology and help us scale our operations across North America.

Position Summary

This position works in close partnership with our Director of Engineering to advance the development and deployment of cutting-edge manufacturing and packaging systems. You'll be the driver behind bringing new equipment online, keeping projects on schedule and within budget while building strong partnerships with technology suppliers. Your focus will be ensuring that our technical initiatives align with broader business goals, delivered with precision and accountability in a high-energy workplace.

What You'll Do

• Support the engineering team's research and development efforts in processing innovation and packaging advancement
• Own the complete lifecycle of equipment projects, from procurement planning through implementation
• Create realistic project schedules and shepherd teams to completion on time and on budget
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and technology partners
• Execute rigorous testing protocols to validate new systems and technologies
• Capture technical data, specifications, and lessons learned from equipment deployments
• Maintain sharp focus on accuracy and quality while juggling multiple priorities

Requirements

• Comfort and proven track record working in dynamic, rapidly-evolving environments
• Solid technical foundation and hands-on experience with manufacturing or processing equipment
• Demonstrated skill in scheduling work, managing budgets, and meeting contractual deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with external partners—vendors, suppliers, manufacturers—to drive projects forward
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and willingness to adjust approach when circumstances change
