Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential government contractor seeking a Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer for a remote, full-time position supporting federal clients. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong foundation in quantum algorithms, cryptographic systems, and secure software development. Employment Type: Full-Time

Security Clearance: Public Trust – Level 4 required

Responsibilities

• Design and implement quantum computing algorithms and cryptographic protocols to support federal security initiatives
• Develop secure software solutions using programming languages including Python, C++, and Java
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum-resistant cryptographic techniques into existing systems
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging quantum technologies and their applications in cybersecurity
• Support the evaluation and testing of quantum computing frameworks and cryptographic libraries
• Document technical implementations, security protocols, and system architectures
• Provide technical guidance on quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography best practices

What We're Looking For

• Experienced professional with a background in quantum computing, cryptography, or related fields
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and Java
• Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and cryptographic principles
• Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography standards and quantum-resistant encryption methods
• Experience working with federal government clients or in regulated environments is preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust – Level 4 clearance
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Military veterans with relevant technical experience are strongly encouraged to apply
