About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential electrical infrastructure organization seeking a Proposal Manager to lead complex proposal development for utility-scale projects across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established firm delivering critical energy infrastructure throughout North America.
Our client specializes in high-voltage electrical solutions serving utilities, renewable energy developers, and industrial sectors. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, you will oversee end-to-end proposal coordination for EPC projects, mentor proposal coordinators, and drive process improvements that elevate quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day coordination of multiple concurrent EPC proposals from RFP release through submission and handover
- Provide mentorship and oversight to Proposal Coordinators, including task delegation and escalation management
- Review RFP documentation and develop compliant proposal documents aligned with client requirements and internal standards
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from estimating, engineering, procurement, HSE, quality, legal, and business development teams
- Manage internal review and approval workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment
- Collaborate closely with estimators to integrate pricing, assumptions, and risk considerations into submissions
- Maintain document control protocols including formatting, version management, submission packaging, and SharePoint organization
- Administer proposal content libraries, templates, project experience records, resumes, and organizational materials
- Update CRM records tracking proposal status, client interactions, outcomes, and business development metrics
- Facilitate proposal kickoff and close-out meetings, capturing requirements and lessons learned
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and strengthen document quality
- Support win/loss analysis and post-submission feedback reviews
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Communications, Construction Management, English, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in proposal coordination or project administration
- Background in electrical utility, EPC, or construction industries strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder proposal efforts
- Prior experience in a lead or informal supervisory capacity preferred
Technical Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Skilled in SharePoint administration and document organization
- Experience with CRM platforms and proposal tracking systems
- Comfortable editing and formatting documents for clarity and professional impact
Competencies:
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with capacity to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with a proactive, supportive leadership approach
