Product Manager (m/w/d) – Data Center / Network

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT distribution and solutions organization seeking a Product Manager for their Data Center and Network portfolio. This role is based in Karlsruhe and offers the opportunity to shape product strategy, vendor relationships, and market positioning in a dynamic B2B technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic relationships with manufacturers and suppliers in the data center and network infrastructure space
• Analyze procurement markets, monitoring availability trends and price developments
• Contribute to pricing strategies, product assortment placement, and targeted marketing campaigns
• Conduct contract negotiations and expand manufacturer relationships and distribution contacts
• Ensure economical inventory management while adhering to company guidelines and working capital targets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product launches and promotional activities

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed commercial/business apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, product management, or category management
• Previous experience in IT distribution or system integration, ideally with focus on data center solutions (network and server infrastructure)
• Proficiency with PowerBI, ERP systems, and MS Office
• Willingness to travel occasionally for vendor meetings and industry events
• Fluent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both)
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
