Role Overview

As a Prep Cook with Compass Group, North America in Charlotte, you'll be a critical member of our kitchen team, handling the foundational food preparation work that keeps our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on position where your attention to detail and efficiency directly support the quality meals we serve daily.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and components for cooking — chopping, mixing, portioning, and organizing mise en place
• Operate grill equipment and assist with grilling tasks as needed
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Follow established recipes and portion guidelines consistently
• Support line cooks and kitchen staff during meal service
• Manage inventory of prep items and report shortages

Requirements

• Previous experience in food prep and grill work
• Availability to work a full-time schedule
• Flexibility to work weekends and varying hours
• Reliable, punctual attendance
• Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
