COLD FOOD (SALAD) (FULL TIME)

Compass Group, North America is hiring a motivated COLD FOOD (SALAD) (FULL TIME) professional for its Jacksonville, Duval County location at the FIS facility on 323 Riverside Avenue.

About the Role

This position supports the daily preparation of fresh salads and cold menu items for a high‑volume hospitality setting. You will work a consistent weekday schedule, contributing to a team that prioritizes quality, safety, and efficient service.

What You'll Do

• Assemble and portion salads, cold entrees, and garnishes according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving, rotating, and stocking supplies as needed.
• Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and control costs.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to meet service timelines and guest expectations.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience preparing cold foods, salads, or similar menu items in a foodservice environment.
• Ability to work a full‑time schedule Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Good communication skills and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights safely.
• A food handler’s certificate or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
