Platform Engineer (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded manufacturing technology company in Munich that is building platform infrastructure for industrial data systems. Our client is a small, fast-moving team backed by leading venture investors, and they need a Platform Engineer to own their cloud infrastructure end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Manage and scale Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure
• Design and maintain high-availability systems and PostgreSQL databases
• Implement infrastructure as code with a focus on maintainability
• Configure networking, security, and observability tooling
• Develop reliable storage and backup systems
• Enhance developer experience through automation
• Work directly with engineering leadership and end users

What We're Looking For

Required skills:

• Proven experience building reliable continuous delivery systems
• Strong background operating scalable Kubernetes environments
• Proficiency writing maintainable infrastructure as code
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and observability
• Experience designing and operating reliable storage systems
• Passion for improving developer experience and automation

Nice to have:

• Helm, Terraform, or OpenTofu
• AWS and GitHub Actions
• PostgreSQL, graph databases, or S3
• Backups, replication, and disaster recovery
• Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
• On-premise or hybrid-cloud deployment experience

Location: Munich (relocation support available, including corporate housing offers)
