Planner, Supply Chain

Position Summary

As a Supply Chain Planner at Wabtec, you will play a critical role in coordinating procurement, inventory management, and production schedules to ensure operational efficiency and on-time delivery. You'll work cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to balance demand forecasting with supply availability, managing inventory levels across our supply chain network. This is a hands-on planning role where your analytical skills and attention to detail directly impact our ability to serve customers reliably.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on sales pipeline, historical trends, and market conditions
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock while preventing stockouts
• Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier performance and lead times
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing teams to align with customer demand
• Analyze supply chain metrics and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
• Respond to urgent supply disruptions and implement mitigation strategies
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on supply chain performance and forecasting accuracy

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, or demand planning
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems and supply chain planning software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain fundamentals
• Strong communication skills and ability to present data-driven recommendations
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
