Paralegal

Orion Placement is seeking a Paralegal to join its team in White Plains, Charles County on a full‑time basis.

The role provides an annual salary between $52,000 and $83,500.

About the Role

This position supports a litigation practice that handles liability and defense matters from the initial filing through trial. You will work closely with attorneys to keep cases moving forward and contribute to successful outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents
• Manage the discovery process, including document production and responses
• Organize and review medical records and related documentation
• Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and procedural rules
• Coordinate independent medical examinations (IMEs) and summarize findings
• Assemble trial binders, exhibits, and witness preparation materials
• Assist with case strategy discussions and provide practical support to the legal team
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with filing deadlines
• Communicate with clients, experts, and court personnel as needed

What We're Looking For

• A paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience working on liability or defense litigation matters
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with e‑discovery platforms and document management systems
• Ability to interpret and summarize complex medical information
• Detail‑oriented mindset with excellent organizational abilities
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures and local rules
• Team‑player attitude suited to a collaborative office environment
