Orion Placement is hiring a full-time Associate Attorney: Litigation, Briefing & Settlement to join a fast-growing national litigation practice in Houston, Houston County. About the Role
This is an on-site Associate Attorney position based in Houston, Houston County. As part of an expanding firm with several immediate openings, you will handle plaintiff-side employment matters, with a focus on helping employees recover unpaid wages and overtime they are owed. The compensation range for this role is $125,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution on behalf of plaintiff-side clients.
- Draft and refine legal briefs, motions, and other written filings.
- Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare cases for hearings.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Pursue wage-and-hour claims to recover unpaid wages and overtime compensation for workers.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an active license to practice law in Texas.
- Background or genuine interest in litigation, employment law, or wage-and-hour disputes.
- Strong legal writing, briefing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload and work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Availability to work full-time, on-site in Houston, Houston County.
