Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests for neonatal and pediatric interfacility transports and prepare accordingly
• Provide advanced emergency medical technician-level assessment, stabilization, and interventions during ground or air transport
• Continuously monitor patient condition, vital signs, and equipment function throughout the transfer process
• Collaborate closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, and referring facility staff to coordinate care
• Operate and maintain transport vehicles, medical devices, and supplies in readiness for rapid response
• Document patient encounters, interventions, and handoff details accurately and legibly
• Follow established medical protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory standards for pediatric and neonatal transport

Qualifications

• Current Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification
• Prior experience or specialized training supporting neonatal and pediatric patients preferred
• Ability to perform physical demands of emergency response including patient movement and equipment handling
• Strong verbal communication skills and capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to complete additional required education or credentials relevant to pediatric transport
