Position Summary

The Manager, Plant Support Engineering - Davis Besse leads a team responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to day-to-day plant functions. Core Duties

• Direct the plant support engineering staff, set priorities, and allocate resources to address both immediate needs and longer-term improvements.
• Oversee evaluation, design, and implementation of engineering solutions that enhance system reliability and equipment performance.
• Review and approve technical packages, calculations, and work products for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
• Partner with operations and maintenance to identify engineering issues early and deliver practical, timely resolutions.
• Monitor work progress, remove barriers, and report status, risks, and resource needs to plant leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, documentation practices, and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Ensure engineering activities remain aligned with safety expectations, plant procedures, and applicable industry codes.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline, paired with progressive experience in plant or facility engineering support.
• Proven ability to manage and develop technical professionals in a plant environment.
• Strong working knowledge of plant systems, modification processes, and engineering change control.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills that allow effective interface with craft, supervisors, and senior management.
• Demonstrated skill in prioritizing competing demands, making sound decisions under pressure, and driving results through others.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, configuration management, and quality assurance requirements common to plant settings.
