Mental Health Specialist II – Acute Behavioral Services

Dungarvin is seeking a Mental Health Specialist II to deliver direct clinical care and therapeutic support to individuals in acute behavioral services at our Spring Valley, Minnesota location. The Opportunity

As a Mental Health Specialist II in Acute Behavioral Services, you'll provide essential clinical support to individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes. Working in Dungarvin's behavioral health program in the Spring Valley area, you'll deliver crisis response, therapeutic intervention, and ongoing care within a structured clinical environment. Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care and therapeutic support in acute behavioral health settings
• Conduct mental health assessments and respond to crisis situations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
• Document patient progress and clinical observations accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Support behavioral de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or healthcare settings
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to pass a background check clearance
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation as required by the position
