Marine HR Executive (Recruitment)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global shipping organization seeking a Marine HR Executive to join their shore-based team. This role coordinates daily seafarer recruitment activities across the fleet, working with appointed manning offices worldwide to ensure proper staffing levels and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, source, and coordinate recruitment of ship staff to meet fleet manpower requirements across all ranks
• Process recruitment applications for ship staff positions including senior officers and engineers
• Collaborate with designated manning offices globally to ensure adherence to company policies and STCW certification requirements
• Manage interview schedules and coordinate with fleet teams throughout the selection process
• Develop and implement manpower strategies while tracking key performance indicators
• Monitor recruitment progress and maintain candidate status tracking
• Screen and match candidate profiles against job requirements including rank experience, vessel type, and engine type specifications
• Ensure data accuracy in crewing software systems and minimize application processing times
• Conduct monthly manpower analysis, projections, and prepare quarterly reports
• Follow up on Collective Bargaining Agreement terms and conditions
• Assist with annual cadet intake planning and monitor recruitment programs
• Coordinate with manning offices on social media recruitment advertisements and platform compliance
• Senior-level candidates will supervise and train new executives

What We're Looking For

• Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Commerce, Human Resources Management, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in a similar corporate marine HR role (Executive level) or 4-5 years (Senior Executive level)
• Sailing experience is an added advantage
• In-depth understanding of STCW, MLC 2006, and other relevant maritime regulations
• Proficiency in crew management systems and payroll procedures
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities (Senior Executive candidates)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with resourceful, proactive, and results-oriented approach
