Join Benton Communities as a Maintenance Service Technician III at Prescott Square Apartments in Pikesville, Baltimore County. We're seeking a skilled, detail-oriented maintenance professional to keep our community running smoothly and our residents happy.
About the Role
This is a full-time position responsible for the ongoing upkeep and repair of apartment homes and community facilities. You'll be the go-to technician for preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and system troubleshooting—delivering the reliability our residents depend on.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems in residential units
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency service requests from residents
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Maintain grounds, common areas, and exterior facilities to ensure community standards
- Document all work completed, materials used, and time spent on each task
- Identify safety hazards and report code compliance issues to management
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors on specialized repairs as needed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in multi-family residential properties or similar facilities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliance repair
- Technical certifications (EPA, HVAC, or equivalent) preferred
- Ability to diagnose problems, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to resident satisfaction
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various weather conditions
