Legal Consultant – Asset Management / Securities

We are representing a leading financial institution in Hong Kong seeking a Legal Consultant to support their asset management and securities operations across the APAC region. This role offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated global organization on complex fund structures, investment products, and regulatory compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on asset management, securities brokerage, and wealth management activities across the region
• Draft, review, and negotiate key documentation, including fund constitutive documents, investment management and distribution agreements, and brokerage/trading agreements (e.g., ISDA, futures, and options)
• Review client-facing and marketing materials for funds, portfolios, and wealth management products, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor regulatory developments, update internal policies and templates, and deliver training to business and support teams on securities and asset management legal issues

What We're Looking For

• 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in securities, funds, or asset management law at a reputable law firm or financial institution
• Excellent contract drafting and communication skills in English and Chinese, ideally including Mandarin proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with regulatory frameworks governing asset management and securities activities in Hong Kong and broader APAC markets
