Senior Solutions Architect I, Pre-Sales – South Korea Defense & Intelligence

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential organization in the satellite imaging sector that is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect I, Pre-Sales to support their Defense & Intelligence operations in South Korea. This is a remote position based in South Korea (APAC region) requiring up to 50% regional travel.

Our client operates advanced earth observation capabilities and serves government organizations worldwide. In this role, you'll architect complex technical solutions that demonstrate the value of satellite data and geospatial services to defense and intelligence customers throughout the Korea region.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver solution demonstrations and technical presentations that showcase satellite imagery capabilities and address customer business requirements
• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers' technical and management teams within the South Korean Defense and Intelligence community
• Provide senior technical advisory services to recommend solutions architectures aligned with customer operational challenges
• Lead technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals
• Partner with sales colleagues to develop technical strategy across account plans and drive customer engagement
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development teams to represent customer requirements and support proposal submissions
• Meet quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives
• Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, and customer feedback to leadership
• Present to senior executive government stakeholders within South Korea
• Mentor team members and lead technical training sessions

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of technical experience supporting or working within the South Korean defense and intelligence community
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel
• Professional working proficiency in English required
• Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense sector
• Background in IMINT, ISR, and related intelligence fields preferred
• Hands-on experience with geospatial tools: QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, and AI/ML technologies
• Proven ability to design and present complex systems that bridge business problems and technical solutions
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive work style
• Experience processing imagery, manipulating geospatial data, interacting with APIs, and building data pipelines
• Track record of leading technical customer engagements and conducting workshops or training sessions
• Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a South Korean security clearance
• Mandarin speaking ability is a plus
