This field-based technical role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining self-service checkout systems, point-of-sale terminals, and related hardware across retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair self-service checkout systems, POS terminals, and related retail technology equipment
• Manage parts inventory and maintain organized toolkits and supplies
• Work autonomously in the field, traveling to client sites throughout the Melbourne metro area and occasionally interstate
• Complete ongoing technical training through online modules and in-person classroom sessions
• Perform physical tasks including carrying and lifting equipment (1-20kg), prolonged standing, walking, bending, and squatting as required
• Deliver professional, timely service to end customers at retail locations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience repairing electromechanical equipment
• PC hardware and software repair experience required
• Previous experience with self-service checkout repairs is a strong advantage
• Valid Australian driver's license
• Australian permanent resident or citizen status required
• NMI Verification Licence advantageous
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
• Passion for learning new technology and troubleshooting complex systems
• Willingness to travel and complete service calls as required, including some interstate work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
