IT-Systemadministrator (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a public sector organization in Munich seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their infrastructure team. In this role, you will:

• Operate, maintain, and optimize Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services
• Administer VMware vSphere virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam
• Configure and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure along with firewalls and network components
• Ensure availability and security of IT infrastructure through monitoring, patch management, error analysis, and implementing appropriate security measures
• Improve and standardize IT processes, maintain technical documentation, and manage software licenses

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates with:

• Completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Electronics Technician, or a degree in Computer Science
• Ideally, several years of professional experience as an IT Systems Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Network Administrator
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and storage and backup solutions
• Knowledge of network administration, firewalls, VPN, WLAN, and container/cloud technologies such as Kubernetes is desirable
• Structured and solution-oriented working style, initiative, and teamwork capabilities
• Fluent German and English language skills
