IT Field Service Engineer (m/w/d) IT-Security

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in the IT security sector, seeking an IT Field Service Engineer for their Berlin location. In this role, you will:

• Serve as technical point of contact for customers regarding questions, disruptions, and issues with deployed security control solutions
• Support customers and partners with installation and configuration of specialized IT security products
• Provide on-site support to project teams during installation, commissioning, and rollout phases at locations such as airports
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting operations, coordinating external partners and suppliers as needed
• Analyze, qualify, and process incoming 2nd- and 3rd-level support cases, escalating to appropriate departments when additional expertise is required
• Contribute technical insights and recurring problem patterns to software development and product management teams
• Install, administer, and maintain reference systems while ensuring complete technical documentation
• Document support cases systematically and actively contribute to building and maintaining a knowledge database

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical training, ideally as IT specialist for system integration or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in 2nd- or 3rd-level support, system administration, or technical field service
• Experience working with complex IT systems and demanding IT infrastructures
• Strong practical knowledge of Windows and Linux environments and their associated tools and procedures
• Solid foundation in IT security
• Professional, confident demeanor with strong service and customer orientation
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel regularly, including within Europe
• Availability to participate in scheduled and compensated on-call rotation
