Mesquite ISD seeks a Secondary Instructional Coach at North Mesquite High School to support teacher development and instructional improvement. About the Role
In this instructional coaching position, you'll work alongside secondary educators to strengthen classroom instruction and foster professional growth. Funded through Title I, Part A resources, you'll serve as a bridge between professional development initiatives and day-to-day teaching practices, guiding teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies.
What You'll Do
- Observe classroom instruction and provide actionable feedback to support teacher growth
- Facilitate coaching conversations and professional development focused on instructional excellence
- Guide implementation of evidence-based instructional practices and curriculum improvements
- Model effective teaching strategies through demonstration lessons or co-teaching
- Partner with administrators and teaching teams to identify and address instructional priorities
- Build collaborative relationships that encourage teacher reflection and continuous improvement
- Track coaching progress and contribute to school-wide improvement efforts

- Significant classroom teaching experience at the secondary level
- Deep understanding of instructional practices, curriculum, and student assessment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust with faculty
- Background in professional development, teacher coaching, or instructional mentoring
