What This Role Involves
This full-time, exempt teaching role with Mesquite ISD begins in the 2026-2027 school year. As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you'll plan, develop, and implement an effective instructional program designed to support the foundational learning and development of pre-K students. You'll report to the school principal and work collaboratively within the Range Elementary community.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver instruction in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and creative development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Assess student progress and differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication about student development
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement research-based instructional practices
- Manage classroom operations, materials, and routines to support student success
What You Bring
- Valid teaching certificate with Pre-Kindergarten endorsement (or state equivalent)
- Understanding of early childhood development, learning standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse learners and support inclusive education
- Passion for creating engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
