About the Role
As an Assistant Coach for our football program, you'll work alongside our head coach to develop a strong, competitive team while prioritizing student-athlete growth, safety, and sportsmanship. This part-time position is ideal for educators, coaches, or dedicated volunteers looking to contribute to athletic excellence at the high school level.
What You'll Do
- Coach and instruct high school football players in fundamentals, techniques, and game strategy
- Lead practice sessions, film reviews, and skill development activities
- Monitor player safety, conditioning, and injury prevention
- Support team culture, discipline, and athletic integrity
- Collaborate with head coach and administrative staff to meet program goals
- Attend games, competitions, and team events as scheduled
What We're Looking For
- Coaching experience or proven football knowledge
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to student-athlete development and safety
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive coaching staff
- Valid coaching certification or willingness to obtain (if required by state)
- Reliability and flexibility to work game days and practice schedules
Compensation and Benefits
This part-time position offers competitive compensation. Eligible employees accrue sick leave at one hour per every 40 hours worked, in accordance with Washington State law. After accumulating 630 hours of work within a school year, eligible employees become eligible for enrollment in the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) program, which includes medical, dental, vision, and long-term disability coverage.
