About This Role
We are representing a confidential HVAC manufacturing organization in their search for an HVAC Specialist with deep expertise in water-source heat pumps and geothermal systems. This is a technical support role focused on delivering expert troubleshooting and applications assistance to contractors, dealers, engineers, architects, and end users across residential and commercial markets.
Our client seeks someone who can provide phone and email-based technical guidance on sophisticated HVAC systems while collaborating internally to drive product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver troubleshooting and applications support via phone and email to external customers and internal teams on water-source heat pumps, geothermal systems, air-conditioning, and related HVAC equipment
- Partner with Product Management, Quality, Warranty, and Returns departments to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement efforts
- Support new product launches by reviewing technical documentation for accuracy and developing training resources, including technical videos
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis for technical investigations and complaint resolution
- Maintain comprehensive electronic records of customer interactions and manage departmental communications
- Perform occasional on-site field troubleshooting, including domestic and international travel for training or service support
- Mentor peers and contribute to team technical development
- Provide flexibility for after-hours support during critical rollouts or escalations as needed
- Work from office or home using company systems as directed
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC technical support or a closely related role with demonstrated proficiency across multiple technical competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Air-to-Air Heat Pumps, Water-Source Heat Pumps, and Geothermal systems in both residential and commercial applications
- Technical expertise in system piping, hydronics, wiring, water-source heat pump controls, heat exchange fluid transfer, air conditioning circuits, and compressors
- High School diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications such as NATE or EPA certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a customer-first mindset and strong initiative
- Outstanding communication and phone skills with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to meeting goals
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus
- REAL ID or passport required for travel purposes
- Must be indefinitely authorized to work in the United States; future sponsorship for work authorization is not available
Work Environment: Primarily office and computer-based with flexibility to work from home unless fully remote. Occasional on-site visits and air travel within and outside the USA as required.

Pay
The client has indicated a base salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 for this full-time position, determined by work experience, job knowledge, role complexity, and location. This does not include bonus opportunities or the comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision plans, HSA, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) with employer match, wellness programs, life insurance, long-term disability, paid time off, and parental leave.
