St. George Tanaq Corporation is seeking a Health Scientist I (Public Health Evaluation) to join our team in Madison, Dane County. This full-time position will support scientific evaluation and data analysis initiatives for federal agencies.
About the Role
As a Health Scientist I, you'll contribute to critical public health evaluation projects through Tanaq Management Services (TMS), our professional services subsidiary. You'll work on assessments and analyses that inform policy, program design, and health outcomes across agencies focused on health, agriculture, technology, and government services. This role combines independent research with collaborative partnerships across federal health and scientific organizations.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health evaluation studies and epidemiological analyses
- Collect, clean, and analyze health data using statistical and analytical methods
- Develop evaluation frameworks and assessment methodologies aligned with federal standards
- Prepare comprehensive scientific reports and documentation for federal partners
- Conduct literature reviews and synthesize evidence-based findings
- Support compliance, quality assurance, and data integrity protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and federal agency stakeholders
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with data analysis, statistical software, or health information systems
- Knowledge of epidemiological methods, program evaluation, or public health research
- Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and general audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with federal health initiatives or government health agencies a plus
