Head of Operations, Defender

Seeking a visionary Head of Operations to lead the strategic operations of our innovative tech company, Journaltech, based in Victoria, Canada.

This role is pivotal in shaping the operational landscape of Journaltech, driving efficiency, innovation, and growth. As the Head of Operations, you will oversee all operational functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. Your role will be instrumental in setting up systems, processes, and policies that support our business objectives and enhance our competitive edge.

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies to drive business growth and efficiency.
• Oversee all aspects of operations, including supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Lead a team of operations professionals and continuously improve team performance and productivity.

Core Duties

• Drive the implementation of best practices in operations management.
• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts for operational activities.
• Ensure the timely delivery of projects and products.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of leading successful operations teams and driving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Experienced in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other operational tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and operational standards.
