Graduate Total Account Manager – Scientific Sales Auckland

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential scientific instrumentation organization seeking a Graduate Total Account Manager to join their Auckland-based sales team. This is an excellent entry point for recent science graduates who want to build a career in technical sales while working with cutting-edge analytical solutions.

Our client takes a consultative, solution-focused approach to customer relationships. You'll work alongside experienced Account Managers, learning the full sales cycle while supporting customers in laboratory and research settings across New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior Account Managers to maintain and grow existing customer relationships
• Engage directly with laboratory customers to understand their technical needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Support sales activities including quotation preparation, lead generation, and contract renewals
• Sell analytical instruments, consumables, and service agreements
• Conduct telesales and inside sales outreach to untapped and high-potential accounts
• Collaborate with technical specialists and product teams to deliver value-added customer support
• Travel approximately 35% of the time to meet with customers across the region

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
• Up to 1–2 years of professional experience (including internships, part-time roles, or graduate positions)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with genuine enthusiasm for customer engagement
• Proactive, coachable mindset and eagerness to develop commercial skills
• Interest in solution-based selling within a science-driven industry
• Ability to travel regularly within New Zealand
