Senior Operations Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clinical research organization seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to join their Business & Operational Excellence team in Romania. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives across study delivery operations, working with diverse stakeholders to enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Our client is looking for an experienced professional who can lead process improvement initiatives, change management efforts, and operational excellence programs with minimal oversight. You'll play a critical role in evaluating workflows, implementing new business processes, and ensuring sustainable adoption of improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or automation
• Participate in root-cause problem-solving with stakeholders to identify core process challenges
• Support development of process improvement recommendations, leveraging subject matter experts for input
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities and strategic initiatives
• Design and implement new business processes aligned with organizational context and priorities
• Lead change management initiatives using structured communication frameworks to ensure adoption and sustainability
• Manage internal communications to update stakeholders on progress, performance, issues, and blockers
• Identify operational risks and lead implementation of mitigation plans
• Document business processes and establish key performance metrics and dashboards
• Provide training and guidance to teams on new processes and continuous improvement opportunities
• Monitor and analyze effectiveness of new initiatives, making adjustments as needed
• Prepare and maintain tools and templates to support execution
• Travel as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience in change management, operations support, and process improvement
• Experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology drug development
• Strong drug development experience with understanding of cross-functional operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory guidance
• Understanding of change management models (e.g., ADKAR) and change assessment tools
