About the Role
As a Graduate Nurse Resident at Mercy, you'll complete a comprehensive residency program designed to transition you from nursing school to independent clinical practice. What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of preceptors and clinical educators
- Assess, monitor, and respond to patient conditions with increasing independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in patient care planning
- Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately
- Participate in unit-based learning activities, competency validation, and clinical seminars
- Build proficiency with electronic health records and clinical technologies
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to support their understanding and engagement in care
