What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas service lines, connections, and equipment according to industry standards
- Identify leaks, pressure anomalies, and safety concerns using diagnostic tools and established protocols
- Perform fusion welding and related inspection tasks to specification
- Document findings accurately and maintain detailed service records
- Communicate technical observations clearly to supervisors and clients
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures at every job site
- Troubleshoot gas service issues and recommend corrective actions
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certification a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
- Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Willingness to learn and advance your technical skills
- Prior experience in gas service, utilities, or similar technical fields valued but not required for motivated new technicians
Compensation & Career Growth
New technicians start at $18.50 per hour, with advancement to $21.76 per hour at your first anniversary and $25.02 per hour at your second anniversary. Experienced technicians may qualify for up to $35.50 per hour based on prior background. Scheduled pay increases continue year over year with tenure, ensuring your compensation grows as your expertise deepens.
