About the Role
As a Safety Security Officer and Residential Aide, you'll serve as a trusted protector and support person within our residential facility. This non-exempt position pays $19.25 per hour, reports to the Shift Supervisor, and is part of our Services – Security division. You'll maintain a safe, secure environment for all clients and staff while providing compassionate residential support to families experiencing housing instability.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and patrol common areas, entrances, and grounds to ensure facility security and client safety
- Respond to safety concerns and incidents with calm professionalism and appropriate escalation
- Provide direct residential support to homeless families and children, assisting with daily living needs
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of security observations and residential activities
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and staff to uphold facility policies and safety protocols
- Support a welcoming, trauma-informed environment that respects the dignity of all residents
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; relevant security or residential care experience valued
- Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional in dynamic situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations
- Commitment to supporting homeless families with compassion and respect
- Reliable transportation and ability to work assigned shifts consistently
- Willingness to learn and follow established safety and residential protocols
