MileHigh Adjusters Houston is seeking an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster in Conroe, Texas for a full‑time position.

About the Role

As an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster, you will handle property and casualty claims resulting from storms, accidents, and other incidents across Montgomery County and surrounding areas. You will work directly with policyholders, assess damage, and help them receive fair settlements efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Conduct on‑site inspections of residential and commercial properties to determine the scope and cause of loss.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and contractors to gather factual information for each file.
• Prepare detailed damage estimates using industry‑standard software such as Xactimate or Symbility.
• Review policy coverage, apply deductibles, and calculate appropriate settlement amounts.
• Negotiate with contractors and service providers to control costs while ensuring quality repairs.
• Maintain accurate claim notes, photographs, and documentation in compliance with Texas Department of Insurance regulations.
• Communicate regularly with policyholders to provide status updates and address questions throughout the process.

What We're Looking For

• Hold a current Texas All‑Lines Insurance Adjuster license (or be eligible to obtain one).
• Demonstrate prior experience adjusting property claims, preferably with storm or catastrophe exposure.
• Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret insurance policies and coverage forms.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when dealing with stressed claimants.
• Be comfortable working independently, managing your own schedule, and traveling to various sites within the region.
• Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to work occasional weekends during peak seasons.
• Show proficiency with estimating tools, Microsoft Office, and electronic claim management systems.
