About the Role

As a Graduate Intern Coach for Women's Flag Football, you'll play a vital role in developing athletes and building championship-competitive teams. You'll work directly with the coaching staff to implement practice plans, manage game logistics, and support student-athletes throughout the season. This full-time position combines administrative oversight, athlete development, and compliance with NCAA regulations—providing comprehensive exposure to collegiate athletics operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and leading practice sessions focused on skill development and game strategy
• Work with athletes on conditioning, technique, and competitive preparation
• Support game day operations, including logistics and team management
• Help maintain compliance with NCAA rules and Gardner Webb University athletic policies
• Contribute to program administration and record-keeping
• Collaborate with head coaching staff on recruitment and player development initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled in graduate program)
• Strong knowledge of flag football fundamentals and competitive play
• Familiarity with NCAA regulations and college athletics environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
